Am Sonntag war ich mal wieder auf einem Turnier, diesmal in Coburg - Bundesliga Süd im Schäferhundverein. (Dackel dürfen in der Mannschaft auch starten!)
Milo liebt Hunde und durfte mit. In Coburg musste er im Auto bleiben, was da hätte passieren können bei etwa 100 fremden Hunden - aber auf der Rückreise, mal eben 250km, musste er sich die Beine vertreten.
Last Sunday there was another agility tournament, this time in Coburg - national league south of the German Shepherds' kennel club. They allow any breeds, also Dachshunds, in their teams, which consist of 5 dogs, as long as there are at least two German Shepherds in each team.
Milo loves dogs, so he was allowed to come. In Coburg he had to stay in the car - with about 100 dogs around, way too dangerous! But on the journey back home, 250km, he had to move his legs.

Abby ist sauer weil ich sie in das Dirndl gesteckt habe. Alle anderen haben für den Sommer mehr oder weniger neue Kleider bekommen! Drei von ihnen sogar gesmokte Markenkleider! Und SIE muss ein abgelegtes Set meiner Marie Kruse tragen.

Das Kleid entstand nach einem alten Burda-Puppenschnitt. Die Schürze ist aus einem halben Taschentuch. Marie, die nur 36cm groß ist, hat Platz zum rein wachsen. An einer Sasha geht es.
Abby hat inzwischen das Kleid gesehen, an dem ich gerade arbeite, und ist fast versöhnt...

The dress was made after an old Burda pattern, meant for a 36 cm doll, but Marie Kruse needs to grow into it. On a Sasha it's okay. The apron is made from a vintage hankie.
In the meantime, Abby has seen the dress I'm working on today, and she is almost reconciled.

Obwohl wir in der Metropolregion Stuttgart / Mittlerer Neckar wohnen, ist doch stellenweise noch Landschaft übrig.

Im hohen Gras / In the high grass
Das Kleid ist nur für Honey neu. Genäht wurde es vor mehr als 20 Jahren von der inzwischen verstorbenen Tante meines Mannes, gedacht für eine etwas größere Puppe. So sitzt es an einer Sasha schön weit und luftig.
Tati hat es komplett von Hand genäht. Sie hat auch ein paar Schuhe dazu gemacht, aus einer alten weißen Handtasche, aber leider passen die Honey beim besten Willen nicht, und so hat sie praktische Turnschuhe an.
This dress is only new to Honey. It was sewn more than 20 years ago by my husband's late aunt. She made it for a slightly larger doll, so on a Sasha, it is roomy and airy.
Tati sewed the dress completely by hand. She also made a pair of shoes out of whithe leather from an old handbag. But they don't fit Honey at all, so she's wearing practical trainers.

Felix durfte am Freitag mit zu meinen Eltern. Deren Garten sieht viel ordentlicher aus als meiner, und es blüht auch mehr darin das blühen soll. Viel zu entdecken für kleine Jungs.
On Friday, I took Felix to my parents. Their garden is so much nicer than mine, and most of the blossoms in it belong there. There's a lot to explore for a little boy.

Übers Wochenende bin ich mit den Dackeln auf einem Agiturnier in der Nähe. Rick durfte mit, um seine neuen Shorts vorzuführen.

Meine Jungs haben sich beschwert lange Hosen wären zu heiß für den Sommer. Deshalb musste ich 10 Paar Shorts nähen!!! Sofort kühlte es ab und wurde regnerisch; erst heute lässt sich die Sonne wieder blicken.
Ich nutze das als Ausrede noch mal Fotos von Notso einzustellen, auf denen man seine Augen hoffentlich besser sieht.
My boys complained they are hot in their long trousers, now summer is on its way. So I had to sew 10 pairs of shorts!! Instantly it went cold and started to rain. Today is the first day we can see the sun since Sunday.
I used this as an excuse to show some more photos of Notso, in which his eyes are more clearly visible - I hope.
