Letzte Woche waren wir noch einmal bei meiner Schwester, denn sie hatte Geburtstag. Am Pfingstmontag sind wir alle zusammen nach Fulda gefahren - auch Pippa.
At last, I've found time for my blog!
We visited my sister again last week, for her birthday on Tuesday. On Pentecost Monday, we drove to Fulda, taking Pippa with us.
Fulda is a very old town. From early middle age, there was a bishop's residence in Fulda. The domes in the background belong to the large cathedral. I wish I could hold the camera straight! Of course, I didn't bring a tripod.

Wir brauchen unbedingt mehr von diesen Lilien, die sind so hübsch - aber wo sollen sie hin, in unserem winzigen Garten??
We need more of these lilies, they are so pretty - but where should I plant them in our tiny garden??

It looks like you, your sister and Pippa had a lovely day out in Fulda. We love to visit old churches, stately homes and gardens too. I love how Pippa is sitting on the wall looking toward the fountain. Maybe you could plant some of those beautiful lillies in raised pots or baskets like a window basket if there isn't enough room in a flower bed :) x
AntwortenLöschenAlas, I already planted a lot of other flowers in pots - our garden really is very small. But I have one of those wonderful yellow lilies in my front yard, and it's just starting to bloom.

Thank you! I wanted to take another one with Pippa looking up at the statue, but I'd had to place her too far away to make eye contact, so she'd have been to small in the pic.

AntwortenLöschenIt is. Years ago, when my son was a toddler, we spent one night in Fulda in the "Kurfürst" hotel. Such a lovely place! Alex could crawl along a long, stately hallway, and I changed his nappies on an antique writing desk. It was like sleeping in a museum!

AntwortenLöschenWhat lovely colourful photos Ursula, looks like you had a great time in Fulda. Pippa looks very happy to be able to go with you. There are programmes that you can use to straighten photos and I tried one on the photo of Pippa with the dome in the background but unfortunately it removed most of the dome in the process :( The truth is the photo looks good anyway, regardless of it not being straight :)
