Puppenmetzger / Dolly butcher

Natascha war meine erste frühe Götz.

Natascha was my first early Götz.

Wir kennen sie so.... / We know her like this...

.... oder so......  /  ..... or like this....

... im Mai ..... /  .... in May .......

..... and in winter. We know her like this, but no different way, as the poor kid was unable to take another pose. She had much too tight stringing and bad neck caving.
I adopted Natascha from Switzerland, from a lady who told me she had played with her as a child. She forgot to mention that Natascha had some "repairs" in the meantime. If you fancy to call them that.... there was a butcher at work, not a doll clinic!

Last weekend  she went into surgery. Her stringing was very strange: arms separately, the English way, legs in one single loop from the head, semi-German. Does that make a Mountbatten stringing??
The neck insert doesn't look too original either, but it works, so I left it.

The body is back to its original shape and hangs in the kitchen to dry.

Ja nicht die Bein-Inserts verlieren...

Fortsetzung folgt!

Never lose the leg inserts...

To be continued!

  2. Even just a little caving really does affect their ability to move and pose. I'm sure she will feel much better and be able to keep up with her super model sisters.

  3. Sometimes these things have happened to the poor things over the years. But now she is living with a surgeon who knows how to heal her :)
I'm sure she will soon be striking any pose she wants :)

  4. She got well soon! My very patient husband helped with the surgery, so it was no big deal.

  5. Looks like you've been very busy with surgery. I have a Gotz Sylvia Natterer doll with serious caving, I've worked on her once but she went back to being caved agin after a short while so one day I will get around to doing her again!
