Mami hat die Trainingsrennbahn gemäht.

Mummy mowed the training turf.

Aus Fifty wird niemals ein Rennpferd. Davy ist aber damit zufrieden, ihn in seinem gemütlichen Trab zu bewegen.

Fifty will never be a racehorse. But Davy is happy exercising him in his usual comfortable trot.

Plötzlich hat Davy das Gefühl, dass er nicht allein ist. War das eine Bewegung beim Gemüsebeet?

Suddenly, Davy gets the feeling he isn‘t alone. Was there movement at the vegetable patch?

Ja! Ein fremder Junge betrachtet sehnsüchtig die Zucchini. Das ist ja merkwürdig!

Yes! An unfamiliar boy is watching the zucchini longingly. Now this is strange!

Hey! Sag bloß nicht du willst unser Gemüse klauen – von mir aus kannst du alles mitnehmen! Aber wer bist du? Wo kommst du her?

Hey! Please don‘t tell me you came to nick our vegetables – you can take them all if you fancy! But, who are you? Where did you com from?

Hmmmm vielleicht war das Tor nicht ganz so fest zu…. also ich bin Oliver, und danke aber ich weiß nicht, ob ich mit rohen Zucchini viel anfange.

Weeeellll maybe the gate didn‘t close real tight….so, I‘m Oliver, and thanks but I‘m not certain what to do with raw zucchini.

Magst du mitkommen? Meine Mam fängt eine Menge mit Zucchini an, und bisweilen kann man sogar das Ergebnis essen.

Would you like to come with me? My mom knows a lot to do with zucchini, and sometimes you can even eat the result!

Och komm einfach mit dann finden wir das raus. Und wir sind so viele, vielleicht merkt sie es gar nicht…
