Ich war nie ganz glücklich mit Emmes Haaren. Gut ich war ziemlich glücklich, weil sie nicht ausfallen, aber sie hatte fürchterlich trockene Enden. Als sie ankam sah sie richtig buschig aus.
I never was entirely happy with Emme's hair. Well I was fairly happy as it doesn't shed, but she had very dry ends. When she joined us, she looked all bushy.
Ich bekam eine Haarkur von meiner Tochter, und damit wurde es ein bisschen besser, aber noch lange nicht perfekt. Ich dachte ernsthaft über einen Haarschnitt nach.
My daughter gave me a leave-in conditioner that improved it, but it still was far from perfect. I already thought maybe I'd cut her hair into a bob.
Aber dann habe ich (ermutigt durch einen Beitrag von Sharon im Flickr) Arganöl bestellt. Das Original-Arganology hätte ich aus Spanien importieren müssen, da hätte der Versand schon mehr gekostet als die ganze Flasche von Avon, die ich jetzt gekauft habe. Ich dachte, der Avon-Kram wird es bestimt auch tun, und den gab es in Deutschland.
But then I read a post by Sharon on Flickr, about Arganology. To get the original product I'd have to import it from Spain, meaning shipping alone would have cost me more than the little bottle of argan oil conditioner by Avon I bought in the end. It was available in Germany, so I thought it will do.
Macht wirklich einen Unterschied! Ich habe es ins feuchte Haar eingearbeitet (nur ein paar Tropfen) und es muss nicht ausgespült werden. Ich habe knapp 2cm von den Spitzen abgenommen, aber mehr nicht, und was jetzt noch dran ist sieht gut aus.
It really makes a difference! I worked few drops into the moist hair, it needn't be rinsed afterwards. I took less than an inch from her ends, and what is left looks great, and it is soft and silky to the touch.
Auch Emmes Pony, der immer nach oben rutschte, liegt jetzt flacher. Er bildet noch immer einen komischen Scheitel - aber das ist halt Emmes Stil.
Emme's fringe used to climb up her forehead. Now it lies flat. It still has an odd parting - but that's Emme's style.

Die arme Moddy musste 3 Tage lang in einem hinten offenen Kleid auf dem Tisch stehen - ich hatte es ihr anprobiert, weil ich fand dass es sehr eng aussieht, und dann hatte ich auf einmal keine Zeit mehr das Knopfloch zu machen.
Aber jetzt ist es endlich fertig - und passt.
Poor Moddy had to stand on the table for 3 days in a dress that was open at the back. I had tried it on her because it looked rather tight - then I didn't find the time to make the buttonhole and close the back seam...
But now it's finished at last - and fits.
Leider hatte ich mal wieder Probleme mit der Technik, und so sind von den 14 Fotos die ich gemacht habe 14 entweder zu dunkel, unscharf oder komisch belichtet.
I was again wrestling with my camera. One of us is too stupid to make photos, and I only hope it's not me! I made 14, and they all were either too dark, or out of focus, or the light was funny.

Luise hatte auf den Ebay-Fotos, und auch bei der Ankunft, das Haar in 3 dicken Zöpfen. Ich fürchtete Schlimmes, aber aufgedröselt ist es gar nicht so splissig, nur die Enden sind ein bisschen trocken.
Sie zog als erstes ihr ca 50 Jahre altes Viyella-Kleid aus und suchte sich was aus dem Schrank. Sicher mit der Farbe, Luise? Oh ja!
On her Ebay photos, Luise's hair was in 3 thick braids, so I had little hope how good her hair would be. But un-braided it is not as frizzy as I feared, it only has very slightly dry ends.
First thing she shed her 50-year-old Viyella dress and looked for something in the wardrobe. Are you certain you want this colour, Luise? Oh yes!

Ich habe dieses Teil in Ladenburg ersteigert, in absentia via Vorgebot. Im Katalog stand "Griffhöhe 25cm", und ich dachte, oh, perfekt für Sasha!

I won the cart at Ladenburg, on a day I couldn't attend the auction, so I had to bid in advance and without having seen the item, only on a photo. In the catalogue it said "height of handles 25cm", so I thought, oh that's perfect for Sasha!
Well, they had made a tiny mistake, it's more like 52cm... Now I own an interesting flower pot rack for my patio.

Heute bin ich mit den Hunden in der Nähe von Cleebronn spazieren gegangen. In der Ferne sieht man den Erlebnispark Tripsdrill mit seiner Holz-Achterbahn. (Die macht Spaß.)

Unsere kleine Wagenburg - der Wohnwagen ist winzig, deshalb nutzen wir das Zelt als Ess- und Wohnzimmer.
Samstag war dann unser letzter Tag, und am Sonntag stellten wir uns am Ende eines gigantischen Staus an, um wieder nach Hause zu kommen.
