Abend auf dem Campingplatz / Evening on the camp ground

We were at a small camp site in Ottmaring. There are only 25 lots - very cozy!

We had thought it would be hot during our stay, so we chose a shady place. In fact, we didn't need shadow - but it was a pretty spot.

Our caravan is tiny. So we use the tent as additional living room.

The camp ground is next to the Main-Danube channel (hidden behind the shrubbery). Sometimes large ships passed by, but never more than 2 in an hour. So, did it really pay to build this channel?

Grace ruht sich aus und überlegt, was sie morgen unternehmen will.

Grace takes a rest and is making plans for tomorrow.

    1. Sadly, this may have been its last journey: We bought it 7 years ago, it was imported from the Netherlands, and even then it was 14 years old. Now it has a problem with its gas pipes. They are okay, but they are copper, and in Germany you need a written manufacturer's confirmation that the copper pipes are mounted on brass rings. We never had that piece of paper, it never was a problem, until now a new inspector tested the pipes and didn't want to give the trailer its new gas test plaque. The manufacturer closed down years ago, and until now I was unable to get their confirmation from anywhere. So, due to German "Gründlichkeit", from next year on the perfectly working little caravan will not be allowed in camp sites any more.
We'll probably use it as a garden shed in the future...

    2. That's a shame. It could make a nice Sasha clubhouse though!
