On Thursday, we drove up a hill near to Beilngries. On its top is one of the largest castles in the Altmühl valley: Hirschberg castle.
Ooooh I believe I can spot some knights in the distance!
Schloss Hirschberg gehört inzwischen der Katholischen Kirche und wird als Tagungsstätte genutzt. Deshalb kann man die Gebäude nur von außen besichtigen.
Hirschberg castle now belongs the Catholic church. It is used as a conference centre. So the insides of the buildings are not open to the public.
Und von Rittern, Prinzessinnen und Drachen träumen...
But one can dream of knights, princesses and dragons...
We love a castle! here in the village. Such a shame you could not get a peak inside! Maybe it's full of dragons and the knights are now living down in the village hunting for their princesses ;)
AntwortenLöschenWe got peek actually, as it was allowed to walk through the courtyard. It looked all very modern inside the buildings, so it probably was better to stay outside and keep dreaming!
