The week in Mähring was meant for the dogs. They both like agility a lot, though many people believe that sport is not suitable for dachshunds.
Each day, we had about three hours of training. Kuno looks a little tired - he is the one who needs training.
But luckily, Uncle Archie was there! Archie will be eleven years old in August. But he can still race like a youngster, and when Kuno didn't want to perform any more, he could show him how it is done.
There was only one problem for Archie:
These stairs! Steep and narrow, connecting three floors, that was not what a dachshund likes.
Meanwhile, Ygritte has been through the luggage. The sweater also looks good worn with trousers.
Now I'm wrapped up nice and warm. We can go for an outing, Mummy!
Awww such cute dogs, and great that Archie still enjoys his training at his not too young age! But yes, those stairs, my little Chihuahuas wouldn't like them that much either! In fact I have two Chis that would run up them, no problem, but then they'd stand at the top looking down, crying their eyes out for me to come and bring them back down again!!!
AntwortenLöschenI like the sweater with the trousers, the outfit looks very cosy and perfect for the weather you have there :)
xx
The main problem is, Archie is a little afraid of heights, so each morning he stood at the top of the stairs, looking down, trying to convince me he'd rather stay indoors - but in the end, he mastered the stairs, since he wanted to have his training!

AntwortenLöschenKuno and Archie such fine dogs but those stairs would do me in never mind the poor dogs!
AntwortenLöschenMaybe next time you need to find a place with a lift , Archie cannot be expected to perform well if he's had to go up an down those stairs! or maybe a big St Bernard to carry them up and down?
:)
There probably will not be a next time. Our trainer has only one week scheduled for next year, and it is already booked out. Well, too slow!
LöschenI'm with Archie - three flights of stairs would be too much for me as well. Probably not too much for Ygritte though. She looks like she has a lot of energy.
AntwortenLöschenSteve
She has! My dogs would probably perform much better with her in charge... but it was me who wanted to have all the fun!
