Ein Glücksgriff / A very lucky find

Ich liebe unsscharfe Ebay-Fotos! Denn wäre sie vernünftig fotografiert worden, dann hätte ich mir Ida niemals leisten können. Ich hatte ohne große Hoffnung so viel geboten wie ich gerade noch verantworten konnte, war zum Auktionsende gar nicht zu Hause, dachte es ist eh zu wenig - und bekam sie!

I love unfocussed Ebay pictures! If she had been photographed properly, I  never could have afforded Ida. I had placed a bid without much hope, wasn't at home when her auction ended, thought it hadn't been nearly enough - and won her!

Sie kam in einem abscheulichen Schlafanzug, der einer größeren Puppe gehört haben muss, also brauchte sie als erstes neue Sachen. Was da sinnend am Fenster steht ist - 

She came wearing ghastly pyjamas that must have belonged to a larger doll, so the first thing she needed was a new (to her) outfit. Standing by the window, contemplating, is -

Ida! Sehr frühe Götz mit gelben Augen und (dünnen) Wimpern, mit der angehobenen Augenbraue

Ida! Very early Götz with yellow eyes and (faint) lashes, with the arched brow

- und mit intakten Haaren! Niemand hat daran herum geschnippelt! Hurra!
Ich hatte immer gedacht, eine solche Puppe würde stets auf der Liste unerfüllbarer Wünsche bleiben. Aber jetzt ist sie eingezogen, und schlechte Ebay-Fotos machten es möglich.

I always though a doll like her would stay on my list of unreachable wishes for ever. But now she moved in, bad Ebay photos made it possible.

Ich glaube dieses Kleid steht ihr noch besser....

I believe this dress suits her even better...
