Kein Hagel beim Zwergenhaus - aber leider auch seit dem 10. Juni kein Regen mehr. Dem entsprechend sieht mein Gemüsegarten aus, denn wir können ja nur an jedem zweiten Wochenende gießen.
No hail at the Gnome Home - but sadly, no rain since June 6th. So you can imagine how my vegetable garden looks. We can only visit, and water, every other weekend.
Harriet betrachtet die restliche Stachelbeer-Ernte.
Harriet looks at the last gooseberry crop.
Sollen die so klein sein?
Normalerweise nicht - aber bestimmt sind sie besonders lecker!
Are they meant to be so small?
No, usually not - but they must be very tasty!
Und was hast du da gemacht, Mami?
Ich versuche dem alten Stuhl den angesagten Shabby Chic Look zu verpassen.
And what are you trying to do here, Mummy?
It's an attempt to give the old chair the stylish Shabby Chic look.
Shabby hast du gut hingekriegt. An Chic arbeiten wir noch!
You did well on Shabby. Chic needs some more work!
We've not had rain here for a while either, but that actually suits me...I just love the heat!!!
AntwortenLöschenYour gooseberries may not be large but I suspect they'll taste lovely, will you make a pie with them?
Good luck with the chair, I look forward to seeing it finished :)
xx
After some jars of jam from the first crop, these indeed went into a pie. Yummy!!
LöschenIt's a little dry here too, even though we've had a lot of rain, but it has also been very hot. I have quite a few shabby chic projects lying around in various states of completion. Love Harriet's shoes and socks!
AntwortenLöschenShoes came with a doll I adopted, so I don't know who made them, but they look commercially made, and socks are from an old kids tee.
LöschenActually, the chalk paint did very well on the old chair. I had to try first if it is stable on top of the black lacquer, but it looks good, so I hope to finish it soon.
I love the look and texture of CHALK paint. Looking forward to seeing the finished result.
