Pudelclub-Treffen / Poodle club meeting

Die Cousins kommen zu Besuch und bringen ihre drei Pudel mit! Aber das Wetter ist abscheulich – wie gemein.

The cousins come to visit and bring their three poodles. But the weather is frightful – how mean.

Deshalb treffen die Kinder sich im Wintergarten. Hier sieht es aus wie im Pudelclub! Wir haben aber nur einen – dafür sind ein Zwergschnauzer und ein Dackelmix dabei.

That‘s why the kids meet in the conservatory. This looks like the poodle club! We only have one – but we brought a dwarf schnauzer and a dachshund half breed.

Wir sind genug für eine Übungsstunde! Zuerst gehen wir bei Fuß. Cinnamon hat Walli und Tessie, Peter arbeitet mit Mephisto, Clara mit Toby, Ruben mit Fritz und Notso mit Snoby. Bei einigen klappt es ganz gut, andere brauchen mehr Training.

We‘re enough for a training lesson! We start with heelwork. Cinnamon has Walli and Tessie, Peter works with Mephisto, Clara with Toby, Ruben with Fritz, and Notso with Snoby. Some do very well, others need more practising.

Jetzt halten wir, die Hunde sollen sich setzen. Auch Walli! Snoby, beim Sitzen ist der Popo unten.

Now we stop, and the dogs are to sit. You too, Walli! Snoby, when you sit your backside is on the ground.

Jetzt wird es schwieriger! Die Kinder gehen weg, die Hunde bleiben sitzen. Naja Tessie steht eher.

This will be more difficult! The children walk away, the dogs sit and stay. Well, Tessie actually is standing.

 

Die Hunde werden einzeln abgerufen, die anderen müssen weiter warten. Fritz ist der erste. Tessie ist verärgert dass sie noch nicht dran ist.

The dogs are called one by one, the others must remain waiting. Fritz is first. Tessie is upset it‘s not her turn.

Fritz hat das gut gemacht, und auch Cinnamon hat ihre Hunde gerufen. Tessie! Zu mir, nicht zu Fritz!

Fritz did well, and Cinnamon also called her dogs. Tessie! Come to me, not to Fritz!

Mephisto ist immer noch brav, Toby ist aufgestanden und Snoby legt sich hin.

Mephisto still is very good, Toby stood up and Snoby lays down.

Jetzt darf Toby laufen! Da steht auch Mephisto, und Snoby versucht unauffällig auf Notso zu zu rutschen.

Now Toby can come running! Now even Mephisto is standing, and Snoby tries to slide unobtrusively into Notso‘s direction.

Back to your place!

Snoby schaut süß und unschuldig.

Snoby is looking sweetly and innocently.

Jetzt darf auch er kommen – als letzter.

Now he is allowed to come – he is the last one.

Uff! Das war gar nicht so einfach. Zur Erholung dürfen die Hunde spielen, und die Kinder unterhalten sich.

Whew! That was not so easy. As relaxation, the dogs can play while the kids are talking.

Aber lustig war es. Das machen wir bald noch mal.

But it was fun! We‘ll do this again soon.
