Holly ist bei ihrer neuen Familie. Jetzt muss Zazou ohne sie auf Tour gehen.

Das größte Abenteuer / The greatest adventure

Es ist so weit! Endlich! Heute wird Holly das einzig wahre richtige Abenteuer erleben!

The day has come! At last! Today, Holly will experience the one and only real adventure.

Hm, was tut sie da? Ist das nicht die Tür zu Roropo? Sie klingelt, ein bisschen zittrig. Und was für eine große Tasche sie dabei hat! Zazou ist als moralischer Beistand mitgekommen.

Well, what‘s she doing there? Isn‘t this the door to Roropo? She rings the bell, a wee bit shakily. And what a large bag she brought! Zazou came as her backup.

Das größte Abenteuer von allen! Holly ist in eine neue Familie gekommen! Das fühlt sich ein bisschen komisch an, aber alle heißen sie herzlich willkommen. Und hier gibt es mehr Pferde als Kinder, nicht umgekehrt – ein Paradies für ein pferdeverrücktes Mädchen. Die Zukunft beginnt heute….

Begegnung im Garten / Encounter in the garden

Holly ist allein im Garten unterwegs.

Holly is roaming the garden on her own.

Sie inspiziert die Blaubeersträucher. Die werden noch eine Weile brauchen!

She has a good look at the blueberry bushes. Well they‘ll need more time!

Plötzlich hört sie ein ungewöhnliches Geräusch: ein ganz leises Bimmeln. Es kommt vom Wäldchen in der Nähe.

Suddenly, she hears an unusual sound: a very soft tinkling. It comes from the grove nearby.

Da ist ein kleines schwarzes Schaf! Es ist ganz allein.

There is a small black sheep! It‘s all alone.

Wer bis du denn? Das Schaf lässt sich nicht stören.

Now who are you? The sheep doesn‘t mind.

Kommst du mit mir mit? In den Stall, zu den anderen?

Will you come with me? To the stables, to the others?

Das Schäfchen folgt Holly zutraulich. Das ist sehr niedlich – aber ist es ein Abenteuer? Immer noch nicht so richtig….

Hollys Abenteuer / Holly‘s adventure

Sie und Zazou haben es ins Zwergenhaus geschafft. Das ist herrlich! Aber es ist noch kein Abenteuer.

Her and Zazou made it to the GnomeHome. That‘s superb! But it‘s not yet an adventure.

Im Wintergarten trifft Holly auf einen Leoparden. Ist das das Abenteuer? Kaum – es ist nur unser Paddy.

In the conservatory, Holly meets a leopard. Maybe this is the adventure? Rather not – it‘s only our Paddy.

Die Mädels sind mit den Pudeln unterwegs und klettern auf einen Holzstoß. Ein schöner Platz für ein Sonnenbad, aber ist das das Abenteuer? Eher nicht.

The girls are out and about with the poodles and have climbed a log pile. A pretty place to take a sunbath, but can this be the adventure? Hardly!

Zurück auf der Terrasse – Mami! Da ist ein Dickicht aus Unkraut!

Back on the deck – Mummy! There is a weed thicket!

Das ist kein Unkraut, das sind Blumen: Wicken, Glockenblumen und Akelei. Sie dürfen bleiben bis sie geblüht haben.

They are not weeds but flowers: sweet peas, bellflowers, and aquilegia. They may stay until they have bloomed.

OK, wir spielen Dschungelforscher. Das macht Spaß! Aber ist es auch das Abenteuer? Noch nicht…

Es ist nicht zu leugnen: der Sommer ist angekommen. Gestern war es warm, heute ist es richtig heiß.

Freundschaftsrennen / Fun race

Wir haben beim Zwergenhaus einen schönen Trainingskurs. Mami hat ihn frisch gemäht. Das wollen die Cousins auch mal ausprobieren! Deshalb haben Ruben und Julchen Hans und Igor mitgebracht.

We have a nice training turf at the GnomeHome. Mami just mowed it. The cousins want to give it a try! So Ruben and Julchen brought Hans and Igor.

Los gehts! Zuerst führen Luise mit Richthofen und Erik mit Minna.

Off we go! In the beginning, Luise with Richthofen and Erik with Minna take the lead.

Aber rasch liegen Julchen und Igor in Front. Erik versucht zu überholen – Minna ist schnell. Richthofen muss sein Tempo noch finden.

But soon Julchen and Igor are first. Erik tries to run past – Minna is fast. Richthofen still needs to find his pace.

Was ist hier passiert? Das sieht nicht nach einem geordneten Rennen aus!

What happened here? This doesn‘t look like an orderly race!

Ruben versucht Hans zu überzeugen dass es in der Wende nicht geradeaus weiter geht.

Richthofen rennt, am Wäldchen entlang, den Berg hoch. Richti!!! Er kann so stur sein.

Richthofen paces uphill, along the little forerst. Richti!!! He can be so stubborn.

Nur Erik und Minna haben die Wende korrekt genommen -

Erik and Minna are the only ones not to miss the turning point -

- während Julchen und Igor die Abkürzung nehmen. Falscher Weg, Julchen!

- while Julchen and Igor take a short cut. Wrong way, Julchen!

Das bringt Igor natürlich überlegen in Führung.

So, of course, Igor gets a commanding lead.

Aber jetzt haben sich die anderen sortiert und sind wieder auf Kurs.

Unter Beobachtung / Under surveillance

Ludwig und Fifty sollen über den Sommer im Stall beim Zwergenhaus bleiben. Luise und Erik zeigen ihnen ihr neues Zuhause.

Ludwig and Fifty are meant to stay in the stables at the GnomeHome for summer. Luise and Erik show them their new home.

Im Wald ist es sehr schön. Hier gibt es viele Wege zu entdecken!

It‘s very nice in the forest. There are many paths to discover!

Und diese Ruhe! Den beiden Pferden scheint es genau so gut zu gefallen wie den Kindern.

And the peace and quiet! The horses seem to like this as the children do.

Sie haben es nicht bemerkt, aber sie werden beobachtet. Das Rehkitz betrachtet sie neugierig.

They didn‘t realize they are watched. The fawn looks at them curiously.

Aber das Kitz muss sich die Reiter aus der Nähe ansehen. Als Fußgänger erlebt man so etwas nicht!

But the fawn decides it has to inspect the riders up close. You don‘t experience this as a hiker!
