On Sunday morning we could sleep long, and Honey had no more use for a cardigan.
Dadurch kommt das hübsche Kleid viel besser zur Geltung. Man beachte die gelben Socken - nachdem sie Sophias gesehen hatte, wollte Honey auch welche tragen.
So the pretty dress can be admired full length. With yellow socks - after she had seen them on Sophia, Honey wanted to wear some of them too.

Übers Wochenende war ich auf der Delegiertenversammlung des Deutschen Teckelklubs in Hövelhof, Westfalen. Das ist für mich ein ganzes Ende zu fahren - aber ich konnte bei meiner Schwester in der Nähe übernachten. Natürlich mussten Sashas mit.
Last weekend I attended the meeting of the Deutsche Teckelklub, the German dachshund breeder's association, as a delegate. The meeting took place in Hövelhof, Westfalia, not a short drive from where I live, but I could stay with my sister, not too far away. Of course, some Sashas wanted to come.
Mikey freundet sich gleich mit der 70er Vinyl Schildkrötpuppe an, die auf dem anderen Bett saß. Damit er seine Schwester Baby nicht vermisst, hat er ihren Bären dabei, Kennedy.
Mikey is making friends with the 70s Schildkröt vinyl play doll who sat on the free bed. He was concerned he might miss his sister Baby, so he took her teddy bear Kennedy with him for company.
Honey schaut sich derweil draußen um. Tagsüber war es sehr warm, aber früh am Morgen konnte sie eine Strickjacke brauchen - die, die Breeze mitgebracht hat.
Meanwhile, Honey is looking around outside. The days were very warm, but early in the morning she could use a cardigan - Breeze brought this one into te family.
Und das Kleid hatte Eve an, als sie uns erreichte.

Beim Haus stehen wundervolle hohe alte Bäume. Das sieht fast aus wie im Wald, und es hält das Schlafzimmer kühl.
Next to the house are wonderful tall old trees. It almost looks like a forest, and it keeps the guest room cool.

Ich war sehr brav auf der Auktion, ich brachte nur Hans mit, ein paar Geschenke für kommende Geburtstage der Verwandtschaft - und ein kleines bisschen Zubehör für die Sashas. Wenn sie schon kein Geschwister bekamen, und auch nicht, wie ich gehofft hatte, einen neuen Hund - die wurden mir einfach zu teuer.
I was very good at the auction, I brought home only Hans, some presents for birthdays to come (my sister's and my brother in law's) - and a few gadgets for the Sashas to make up for not finding another sibling. I also had hoped to buy them another Steiff dog, but they were too expensive for me.
Diesen herrlichen Schrank konnte ich doch nicht dort lassen? Ich brauche mehr Kleiderbügel, dann kommen die langärmligen Kleider dort hinein. Und ein prima Fotohintergrund ist er auch.
No one could expect me to leave this marvellous wardrobe behind. I'll have to find some more hangers to put all the long sleeved Sasha dresses inside. It also makes a first class photo background.
Oben drauf ist sogar genug Platz für Harriet und Annie. Wieder etwas weniger Gedränge auf dem Regal!
On top, there even is enough room for Harriet and Annie (and little Tessie). Again, a little less squeezing on my shelves!
Dann fand ich etwas Hausrat für die Küche. Das eine Teil braucht eine kleine Reparatur, bevor ich es aufhänge, und ich überlege noch ob ich den Hintergrund tapezieren sollte.
I also found some kitchen stuff. The hanger needs a little repair. I'm not certain if I should wallpaper the white backdrop first?
Und die Sashas können jetzt Kaffee trinken! Wenigstens einige von ihnen... das Service ist alt, war im Originalkarton, und es fehlt nur eine Untertasse. Wie im richtigen Leben!

Letzten Samstag war mal wieder Sommerauktion in Ladenburg. Ich konnte meiner Familie ganz ehrlich versprechen, bevor ich los fuhr, dass ich keine Sasha mitbringen würde - denn es war keine im Angebot.
Dafür aber jemand anderes, den ich schon lange gesucht hatte: ein blonder Schildkröt Hans!
Last Saturday the Ladenburg Summer toy auction took place. Before I drove there, I could promise my family I wouldn't come home with yet another Sasha - none on offer.
But someone else I had been looking for quite a while: a blonde Schildkröt Hans!
Er schaut sich auf unserer Terrasse um. Hans ist 45 cm groß und auch etwas stämmiger als eine Sasha. Nichts mit Kleider tauschen!
He looks around on our patio. Hans is 45cm tall and a little chubbier than a Sasha. So no clothes swapping!
Die Sachen, die er anhat, sind nicht original, sondern handgemacht. Die kurze Hose hat gestrickte Hosenträger. Die Schuhe sind neuer.
His outfit is hand made, not Schildkröt original. The shorts have knitted suspenders! The shoes are younger.

Nicht nur Cody bekam was Neues für seine Füße. Wartezeit und Versandkosten sollten sich ja lohnen, also habe ich bei Wagner Puppenschuhe gleich mal 10 Paar bestellt. Diese Schuhe werden sehr gern von Müller Wichteln getragen, passen in Größe 40 aber auch Sasha und Gregor. Sie werden auf Bestellung handgefertigt. Deshalb muss man ein bisschen Zeit mitbringen. Das lohnt sich, und die Leute dort sind wirklich sehr nett!
Cody was not the only one who got something new for his feet. To make the most out of postage and delivery time, I ordered 10 pairs from Wagner Puppenschuhe. Those shoes are often worn by Müller Wichtel, but the size 40 also is a nice fit on Sasha and Gregor. They are manufactured on request. That means you need some patience. But it pays,and the people there are really lovely!
Ygritte und Cinnamon haben sich gleich mal jede ein Paar gekrallt. Eins bekam Cody, und der Rest präsentiert sich auf dem hübschen Meter Jersey, den ich zum Muttertag bekam. Vom Göttergatten!

Großaufnahme... Die hübsche Tasche musste auch mit. Die Sandalen, rechts in blau und hinten in grün an Ygrittes Füßen, gefallen mir sehr gut und passen. Von den Riemchen-Ballerinas werd ich wohl auch noch andere Farben bestellen... meine Mädels meinen: hoffentlich bald!
Close up... the pretty shoulder bag was a must have. The sandals, on the right in blue and on Ygritte in green, are attractive and a good fit. I'll probably also order some more colours of the Mary Janes... my girls say, they hope soon!
Es ist nicht so, dass es in Bietigheim-Bissingen zu wenig Supermärkte geben würde. Aber es wird noch einer gebaut! Sieht so aus als könnte er noch diesen Sommer eröffnet werden.
Bietigheim-Bissingen certainly isn't lacking supermarkets. Anyway, another one is built here! It looks as if it might open this summer.
