Jungs auf Entdeckertour / Boys exploring

Gestern bekam Milo endlich den Pullover, den ich ihm seit Wochen versprochen hatte. Und diesmal hat es auch mit dem Hebemaschenmuster geklappt - ich konnte nichts falsch zusammen nähen, ich hab ihn an einem Stück gestrickt.
Dummerweise haben die Jungs aber alle schon Kurzärmliges an. Klar hat Milo geknöttert - also durfte er mit auf die Hunderunde, um den Pullover einzuweihen. (Er hat auch seinen eigenen Hund mitgebracht, Trudi).

Yesterday, I finished at last the sweater I had promised Milo for weeks. This time I managed the slip stitch pattern. I couldn't sew anything in wrong side out - I knitted the garment in one piece.
But in the meantime all the boys have changed into short-sleeved shirts. Milo of course was grumpy, so he was allowed to accompany me on my doggie walk to show off the sweater. (He brought his own dog, Trudi).

Was, mit den Schuhen auf der Bank? Aber auf die wird sich niemand setzen wollen.

Now, with your shoes on the bench? Well - can't see anyone wanting to sit on it.

Trudi findet diese Flechten völlig uninteressant.

Ich hatte gedacht, ich bekomme ein paar schöne Fotos von Frühlingsblumen. Aber das einzige was blühte war dieser Huflattich. Das gefährlich aussehende Gebäude im Hintergrund? Eine Fernmeldeeinrichtung. 

I had hoped I would get some nice photos of early flowers. But the only ones in bloom were these foalfoots. (Or is it foalfeet??) The dangerous looking building in the background belongs to the telephone and TV company, it controls their cables.

Die anderen Jungs waren sehr neidisch, weil Milo mit in den Wald durfte. Heute wären deshalb die beiden Blondschöpfe dran gewesen. Aber Nick ist mit Modeln beschäftigt. Deshalb sind Rick und Felix mitgekommen.

The other boys were jealous. So today, I would have taken the two blondes. But Nick is busy modeling - so Rick brought Felix.

Im Bietigheimer Forst steht diese Bunkerruine mit interessanten Graffiti. Ich hatte viele viele tolle Fotos gemacht - dachte ich, aber die Kamera hat irgend ein Problem. Die anderen Bilder waren NOCH unschärfer.

This ruined bomb shelter is situated in the forest of Bietigheim-Bissingen, and it bears lots of interesting graffiti. I made many many great photos - so I thought, but there's something wrong with the camera. The other pics were even LESS focused.

Auch Rick will hoch hinaus.

Ganz schön hoch - wie gut dass Mama die Jungs nach den Aufnahmen wieder sicher von den Betonbrocken pflücken konnte.

That's pretty high up - good thing Mum could pick up the boys safely after the photo shoot, and they didn't have to make the way down on their own!
