Tannheimer Tal

Am Donnerstag war es richtig heiß, über 30°, und so ließen wir hauptsächlich das Auto wandern. Wir fuhren ins Tannheimer Tal, das schon in Österreich liegt, und liefen von Tannheim zum Vilsalpsee. Das ist ein schöner ebener Weg, der durch den Wald führt und deshalb recht viel Schatten hat. Trotzdem holte mein Mann sich einen Mörder-Sonnenbrand.

On Thursday it was real hot, more than 30°. So we left the hiking to our air-conditioned car. We drove to the Tannheimer Tal, situated in Austria, and walked from the little village Tannheim to the Vilsalpsee. The path is nice and plane, and most of it runs through a forest, so there's a lot of shadow. My poor husband got sunburned anyway.

Der See liegt wunderschön am Ende des Tals. Zu unserem Glück gibt es dort auch einen schattigen Biergarten.

The beautiful lake marks the end of the valley. We were lucky to find a shady place in the open-air pub.

Keine Gefahr, dass Harley sich Sonnenbrand einfängt - sie ist braun genug! Das Kleid wurde passend zur Blumenwiese gewählt.

Harley is not likely to get sunburned - she is nicely tanned. The dress was chosen to match the flowering meadows.
