Tammy

Tammy wohnt schon eine Weile bei uns - aber vorgestern haben wir uns endlich einen Ruck gegeben und sie neu aufgezogen. Das arme Kind hatte so feste Gummis dass sie nur in einer Haltung stehen konnte, ihr Hals war eingedrückt und sie hatte vom Zug eine Wespentaille bekommen.

Ich hab sie zerlegt, ihr mittels frisch gekochtem Wasser (knapp 2l in einer großen Plastikschüssel) ihre Form wieder gegeben, und dann haben Männe und ich sie wieder montiert.

Tammy has been with us for a while - but the other day, we got a grip on restringing her at last. The poor child's elastics were so tight there was only one way she could stand, she had neck caving and a sand clock torso. She went into surgery, was reshaped using freshly boiled water (2l in a big plastic bowl), and hubby and me put her together again.

Sie hat immer noch eine Tendenz die Hacken zusammenzuschlagen, weiß nicht woran das liegt denn die Spannung ist jetzt ok, aber sie kann frei stehen ohne anlehnen und ohne kippeln.

She still tries to clap her heels together every now and then, I have no idea why, since the tension is okay now, but she can stand freely, no leaning, no toppling over.

Sie kann die Arme hoch nehmen und jubeln. Hurra!

She can lift her arms and cheer. Hooray! 

Tammy ist aus 72/73, mit zweifarbigem Haar und Scheitel oben. Jemand hat ihr mal die Haare geschnitten, aber ganz ordentlich. Die schönen blauen Augen kommen zu dem bläulich rosa Kleid gut zur Geltung - und eine Haarkur hat es auch gegeben.

Tammy is from 1973/73, with two-toned hair and rooted part to the crown. The haircut she received by a previous mummy was nicely done. The blueish pink dress suits her gorgeous blue eyes - and of course she had her hair conditioned.

Hier bewundert sie den "neuen" Herd. Den gab es richtig preiswert auf einem Antikmarkt in Ludwigsburg. Töpfe und Formen sind dabei, angeblich tut er auch noch.

Here she admires the "new" stove I found at an antiques fair in Ludwigsburg, for a very good price. It's complete with pots and baking tins, and it should still work.

Da können die Kids ja richtig mitmachen beim Plätzchen backen!
