Monrepos

Am Montag hatte ich frei, Überstunden abbauen, und war mit den Hunden am Seeschloss Monrepos bei Ludwigsburg. Auch das liegt, wie der Hohenasperg, ganz bei uns in der Nähe, und auch dort bin ich eher selten. Meistens ist es völlig überlaufen. Aber Montag früh hatte ich meine Ruhe.

On Monday, I had a day off, to kill overtime. I was at the Seeschloss Monrepos close to Ludwigsburg. It is very near to where I live, like Hohenasperg, and I'm quite seldom there. Most of the time it is crowded. But on Monday morning, it was peaceful and quiet.

Natürlich war nix mit Frühlingswetter, eher grieselgrau - aber immerhin trocken. Kein einziges Boot auf dem See! Es war echt noch nichts los.

Of course it didn't look like spring, it was grey and overcast, but at least it didn't rain. Not a single boat on the lake! (You can rent rowing or pedal boats, which is fun for kids).

Das Schloss von vorn. Auf den beiden Löwen beim Eingang sind meine Schwester und ich schon als Kinder herum geklettert. Jetzt ist ein Schild dran, dass das verboten ist. Keine Ahnung ob es dieses Schild früher auch schon gab...

The front entrance to the castle. My sister and I used to climb the two lions as kids. Now there's a sign attached saying this is prohibited. I wonder, was this sign already there when we were little? 

Juliet zeigt uns ein ärmelloses Kleid nach einem 3-Anns-Schnitt mit einer Bluse, die ich noch im Bestand hatte. Sie passt ganz gut dazu, sieht ein bisschen dirndlmäßig aus.

Juliet models a sleeveless dress made after a 3-Anns pattern. The blouse I found in my wardrobe. It fits her and it's a good match, making it look almost dirndl-like.

Löwe - Pfote -- müsste ich ihm einen Dorn raus ziehen? Aber ich glaub nicht dass er sich einen eintreten könnte, selbst wenn er wollte.

Lion - paw - should I pull a thorn out? But I can't believe he'll find a thorn that would stick in this paw, even if he wanted to.
