Auf dem Trafalgar Square war einiges los - unter anderem Bands, die im Freien spielten. Wir flüchteten in die ruhigere National Gallery.
A lot was going on in Trafalgar Square, some bands were playing - we rescued ourselves into the quieter National Gallery.
Aber Ellie hatte Ideen bekommen. Ich hatte nämlich bei Cards Galore das ultimative Mitbringsel für die Sashas gefunden.
But it had given Ellie ideas. I had found the ultimate Sasha souvenir at Cards Galore.
Eine Green Day - Gitarre!
Deshalb wollte Ellie am Mittwoch nicht mit (es regnete), sondern lieber im Hotel bleiben und American Idiot üben.
(Sie korrigiert mich gerade. Sie hat Peacemaker geübt.)
A Green Day guitar!
So Ellie didn't want to come with us on Wednesday (it rained) but rather stay in the hotel and practise American Idiot.
(She interrupts me here. She says she practised Peacemaker.)
The lovely flowerbeds in Hyde Park also looked good in gloomier weather. Afterwards we spent a lot of time in the Victoria & Albert Museum, and later we had delicious Afternoon Tea.
Thursday already was our last day. We spent a fortune to leave our luggage at the station and saw some last sights.

Tschüs London! Mir hat es hier sehr gut gefallen!
Bye London! I loved being here!
I'm so glad to see that you had a great trip Ursula and did enjoy reading about it and seeing your lovely photos. I do like the photo of Ellie on the flower cart, they look great. And how fortunate was that for you to find her a guitar on which to practice her music! What a lucky girl! Not only does she get to go on a trip to London but gets a new guitar too!! The others are going to be so jealous ;)
AntwortenLöschenBut all good things have to come to an end I guess, so I hope you got home safely (obviously you did or there'd be no blog posts!) and are now all rested again after your trip!
Hugs Sharon xx
Yes we got home safely and without delays. We had thought there would be very tight security at the airport after the attack in Westminster, but we went through the controls quite quickly.
LöschenI have tried to talk Ellie into sharing the new guitar with the others, but she will have nothing of that. She says they can play Harley's Harlequin guitar but she has to practise her solo...
Those miniature guitars are great - perfect Sasha size, so I'm glad Ellie got a souvenir to keep her occupied when she didn't come out with you to see more of London. A long time ago when I first came to London there used to be a dolls house shop in Covent Garden but unfortunately it closed some years ago.
AntwortenLöschenIt's a shame the dolls house shop closed, I'd loved to see it. We visited Hamleys in Regent Street, but we didn't buy anything - it was very crowded and noisy, and the toys not so different from what you get in Germany, except for the Our Generations sets - but I found them too pricey and too much plastic. Well, I'll keep searching for Sasha sized items...
LöschenLooks like some great sight-seeing was done and as we all know it's always good to bring home a little souvenir to remind you in later years of those happy times.
AntwortenLöschenI brought some more souvenirs, one of them even useful - must take a photo of them!
LöschenThank you for sharing these photos of London. I would like to visit there some day and your photos just make the desire stronger!
AntwortenLöschenI really don't like being in big cities, but London is different - it was my third journey there, and I enjoyed it each time. So if you can make it possible, it's worth it!
