Ich bin tagelang um sie herum geschlichen, aber DANN hat endlich jemand meine nicht ganz komplette Skille-Maren gekauft (Puppe war Teil eines Konvoluts, die beiden anderen waren Himstedts, die meine Mutter zum Geburtstag bekam, und ein 70cm-Brecher passt einfach nicht in meine Sammlung) und damit war sie ja nur noch halb so teuer.

Ta-da: Pamela, meine 1969 Brünette!

I've prowled around her for days, but THEN someone at last bought my not-really-minty-bits-of-outfit-missing Skille Maren (the doll had been part of a lot, the other two, Himstedts, meant as a birthday present for my mum, and a 70cm giant doesn't really fit into my collection) and that meant she only was half as pricey as before.

Wenn ich dann auch noch rechne, dass sie ein glühgutes Ruthdolls-Smokkleid mitbrachte, dann war sie fast schon ein Schnäppchen; aber machen wir uns nichts vor, in meiner bescheidenen Sammlung gehört Pam zu den Promis.

Considering she brought a minty Ruthdolls smocked dress with her, she almost was a bargain; but to be honest, in my humble collection Pam belongs to the VIDs.

Angeboten als "wahrscheinlich kein Haarausfall", und mir ist bis jetzt auch nicht aufgefallen dass sie welche verliert. Gewaschen wird gar nix, sie hat soo schöne Locken... nur dem Pony muss ich irgendwie klar machen wo er hin soll. Und dem einen Haar das ins Gesicht hängt...

She was described as "probably non falling" and I didn't notice any thinning, loose hair or empty plugs yet. She'll get no hair wash, she has so pretty curls... I'll only have to tell her fringe where it belongs. And that stray hair in her face...

Ich könnte mir aber vorstellen dass sie ein einem helleren Kleid hübscher aussehen würde. Das Karomuster erschlägt ein bisschen die sehr zarte (d.h. ausgebleichte) Gesichtsbemalung. Ja mal sehen - werde was für sie finden.

She might look even better in a brighter dress. The print almost is too much for that subtle (i.e. slightly faded) face painting. I'll find something for her.
