Teufelsberg

Samstag ist Wandertag - heute mal wieder auf den Teufelsberg. Er liegt bei Freudental. Soll das ein Hinweis sein, dass alles was Spaß macht Sünde ist?

Saturday is hiking day - today to the Teufelsberg, which means Devil's Peak. Its situated next to a small town called Freudental - Valley of Pleasure! That seems a hint that everything that's fun might be a sin?

Die Aussicht vom Rastplatz Vögeleslinde ist leider ziemlich zugewachsen.

There's not much of a view left from the resting area "Vögeleslinde".

Bist du sicher dass du weißt wo wir sind, Mama? Ja Felix ich laufe diesen Weg ziemlich oft.

Are you certain you know where we are, Mum? Yes Felix, I use this hiking path frequently.

Geht es hier weiter? / Are we going up there?

Ich weiß, das ist die richtige Richtung!
Ist es - von dem breiteren Weg geht bald ein ganz schmaler ab, und da ist selten jemand unterwegs.

It is. There's a small path branching from the wider one, where you seldom meet other hikers.

Er führt zu einem weiteren Aussichtspunkt. Hier war mal ein Jagdpavillon der württembergischen Könige, aber davon sind nur ein paar Mauerreste übrig.
Kann man von hier aus sehen wo wir wohnen?
Im Prinzip schon, aber heute ist es zu dunstig.

It leads to another scenic point. The kings of Württemberg used to hunt in this forest, and they had a pavilion built here, but there's only some wall stones left.
Can you see from here to our house?
We might, but today it's too misty.
