Spielen im Schnee / Playing in the snow

Ein bisschen ist ja seit Sonntag wieder gefallen. Also, so viel wie unsere Ecke eben zuwege bringt.

A little snow has fallen from Sunday on. The amounts our parts of the country are usually capable of...

Erik wurde gleich sehr enthusiastisch und holte die Skier hervor.

Erik went very enthusiastic and got the skis.

Ich glaube dazu reicht es noch nicht. Mist!

It's not enough for that, I'm afraid. Shoot!

Cody (neuer Pulli!) hat versucht einen Schneemann zu bauen. Sagen wir eher, einen Schneezwerg...

Cody (new sweater!) tried to build a snowman. Let's say, a snow dwarf...

Auch Sophia zeigt ein neues Outfit. Und was macht sie da? Auf ihren Bruder zielen?
Freches Mädchen!

Sophia too shows a new outfit. And what's she doing there? Aiming at her brother?
Naughty girl!

  1. Not a lot of snow but enough to make a snowman and have a snowball fight, so that's good fun!
Those skis that Erik has, they're great! And the kids have lovely new jumpers, you have been very busy!
    Hugs xx

    1. I always thought that a thin layer of snow is much more fun than a thick one. Easier to walk in, and you can see the end of it...

    1. The trick is to get not too much of that stuff, so traffic is not affected but it looks very pretty. And walking the dogs in the snow is much more fun than in the mud!

    1. Yes they had a snow ball fight soon and all three of them got wet. But they were playing in our garden, so not too far from warming up again!

  4. I just bought and received a set of skis just like Erik's and I couldn't believe how high quality they are. My set looks older; i wonder if they are still being made? What can you tell me about them?

    1. I tried to find something about the company, but no hits, except for an offer in an antiques online auction. I bought mine from a German auctioneer too (Poestgens), so I didn't receive much info. To me they look made in the late Sixties, which I thought was a great match for Sasha. They are marked "Ein Begriff - Heimi - made in Germany". The online offer I found in the web said Fifties, and these look very similar to mine, only the metal square that goes under the foot is grey, not black, and they are a little shorter.
Your boys will have to wait for summer to pass before they can use them!

  5. The kids look like they are enjoying themselves. The sweaters are all beautiful, and I really love Erik's ski gear.

  6. Wow those skis are amazing, what a great find, even if he couldn't use them yet. I am sure he will get some opportunity to.
