Space oddity

Der Planetenweg führt von Ludwigsburg nach Bietigheim-Bissingen und stellt unser Sonnensystem dar. Für jeden Planeten gibt es eine Station, die Abstände sind maßstabsgerecht. Sonne bis Mars sind ganz dicht beieinander. Danach ist Wandern angesagt... zu weit für eine Hunderunde vorm Büro!

The planet walk reaches from Ludwigsburg to Bietigheim-Bissingen. It's a scale model of our solar system, each planet a station. From Sun to Mars it's only a short distance, but then hiking starts - too far for a doggie walk before work time!

Zum Glück gibt es am Pluto, der Endstation, einen Parkplatz. Dort betrachtet Erik die lehrreiche Schautafel.

Auf dieser Tafel steht alles Wissenswerte über Pluto in normaler und in Blindenschrift. Und hier sieht man mal Eriks Füße - denn auch für ihn gab es neue Schuhe aus dem Karton!

Pluto ist ein römischer Gott - trotzdem schaut er hier auf den griechischen Olymp. Na nicht ganz - eigentlich werden dort wundervolle Herrenhemden hergestellt. Besonders die bügelfreien haben es uns angetan...

Pluto is a Roman god. Here he looks out at Greek Olympus - well almost.  In fact, here the wonderful Olymp men's shirts are made. We really love the wash-and-wear line.
